These are the stories I have found on this Island
nation. Haiti has for the last hundred years found itself at odds with western
"thought" (actually they're fed up with western thoughtlessness) and
have borne the brunt of French and American imperial disfavor as the result.
Jean Betrand Aristide had been elected into
office with 80% of the popular vote. The narrow views of a few rich criminals
are now being forced upon the population of Haiti. This all occurred with the
help of the Bush administration. How can we believe that Bush means to create
democracy in the middle east, in light of how he has helped strike down
democracy in Haiti and tried to in Venezuala?
